Created by Greco-Swiss composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Nikolas Katrantzis, NK36 is a narrative music project drawing from contemporary jazz, hip-hop and spoken word. At the centre of the project is a single evolving story, developed through music, text and imagery. Each composition becomes a chapter, while the different artistic mediums contribute to the same narrative world.

The project is rooted in an honest and collaborative creative process, where composition and improvisation interact with poetry and visual ideas from the earliest stages of creation. The result is music that is rhythmic, expressive and deeply connected to storytelling.

After the release of the debut EP Journey To in 2024, NK36 enters a new chapter with The Wind and the Sea, the project's first full-length album. The album follows a narrator caught between the comfort of escape and the uncertainty of reality, exploring themes of pressure, nostalgia, identity and the human need to find meaning.

NK36 is performed by a collective of talented musicians from the new generation of the Swiss jazz scene, bringing the project's compositions to life through a balance of structure, improvisation and interaction.
